D.A.N.S. has provided a client with 24hour care on their discharge from hospital. The client was in hospital for over three months. The 24hour care we provided enabled the client to come home from hospital earlier. Clinical and rehabilitative services were put in place in the home. D.A.N.S. acted as the case manager and co-ordinated all the care going into the home. This holistic approach provided the client with tools to recover in the comfort of their own home.

D.A.N.S. consulted with a client two weeks before day surgery at the hospital in town.
D.A.N.S. carer picked the client up from the hospital after surgery (after receiving a call from hospital staff). As the client had a general anaesthetic, the carer transported and settled the client home. The carer stayed overnight with the client, as requested by the surgeon.
The registered nurse provided a consult in the morning, after the client arrived home and the carer left in the morning.
The client and nurse agreed to daily visits for a fortnight and then to reassess the care requirements. Client was also able to call the D.A.N.S. office if they needed short term errands to be run for them (picking up mail, shopping assistance and domestic services).
All care was provided under the direction of a clinical nurse.
D.A.N.S. has extremely qualified and capable registered nurses with years of experience in the private and hospital sector. This experience allows us to provide specialised care that is otherwise not available within the community.
A client was discharged from the Burns Unit – Concord, Sydney. The client was suffering from a severe third degree chemical burn tot he right lower leg that required a skin graft. The client had two wound sites, the graft site and the donor site. The D.A.N.S. registered nurses liaised directly with the Burns Specialists in Sydney.
Updates were given second daily, including pictures provided.
After four weeks of D.A.N.S. specialised care the client was able to dress the wound themselves and return to normal daily activities.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart for the daily support, care and friendship that D.A.N.S. provided to my father. Remaining in his own home allowed him to live life and fulfil his interests with dignity. We are indeed fortunate to have such a wonderful support service available.
The D.A.N.S. staff are excellent, friendly and always on time. My carer (who is the same every time) is conscientious, and has a desire to do her job properly and with pride.
